Bringing Jewish pride to the 
Glasgow Jewish Community  
and throughout Scotland

 

            

 

Numerous events took place in the 
Glasgow Jewish Community
50 Young people attended 'Chanukah on Ice' 
at the Lagoon Paisley on Saturday evening.
This event was jointly organised by Lubavitch, 
the Youth Forum and UIJA.
It was funded by Lubavitch of Scotland
and partially by the Jewish Youth Fund.

 
Former Provost (Mayor) Allan Steele of East Renfrewshire
Council  in Glasgow with Rabbi Chaim Jacobs
and Rabbi Mendel Jacobs at the launching
of the Chanukah banner November 2000, 
which is displayed at Eastwood Toll Roundabout
throughout Chanukah each year.

This reminds the Glasgow Jewish Community
 that Chanukah has arrived.

50 electric menorahs have been placed
in shops and stores throughout the 
Glasgow Jewish Community

A large menorahwas been mounted in
Morrisons at Giffnock throughout Chanukah.

Before Chanukah 1000 Chanukah guides were 
distributed to adults, and 250 sets of Menorahs and candles were sent to people throughout  Scotland.
